The day that changed everything.....
It finally happened! I finally graduated college! The feeling is like no other. I still can't believe it happened. May 16th, 2015 I became the first of my parents children to graduate from a 4 year University. I also became the second grandchild Ms. Shirley Gibbs (my lovely grandmother) got to see walk across that beautiful stage. Of course I didn't do it alone. My best friends were walking with me. Its a weird feeling. In my household graduating high school was MANDATORY. So the excitement kind of wasn't there. However graduating college was all me! There were many times that I wanted to quit and leave forever, but I didn't. I stuck with it. I have learned more about myself this year than any other year of my life! I am excited to see how my life shapes up and I will keep you guys updated every step of the way!
*Sidenote* Thank you to everyone who sent gifts, prayers, or best wishes. If you sent all three....well....Thank you with a little extra sprinkled on top.

Solange and Chromeo!
I haven't posted any new random thoughts so I figured why not today?! Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE SOLANGE! Even though recently she has been in the news for the fight with Jay-Z I still love her. She can do no wrong. I absolutely love this song! If you're cruising on a sunny Saturday give this song a listen! *Also another great song by her is Losing You.
The Craziness formally Known as: Kanye West
These past couple of weeks Superstar Kanye West has been in the headlines for more than his music. He recently did two interviews that had the world talking. One was with Sway in the morning and the other was with the infamous Breakfast Club. The sway interview did not go as well. Kanye completely lost his temper and coined the popular phrase "YOU DONT GOT THE ANSWERS!" While it was very hysterical no one knows what made him go left. In the Breakfast Club interview we get to see a much calmer Kanye even when the popular radio host Charlamange the God was throwing shots below the belt. Kanye kept it together, surprisingly. Now the rest of the world is calling Kanye a fool I think he's brilliant. In the life of a celebrity you have to keep people talking and thats what Kanye is doing. Some of the things he were saying in these interviews made a little sense, however it is Kanye and he's had a target on his back since Taylor-SwiftGate. Just my random thoughts.

Pretty Awesome

I'm All about celebrating my race. I live by the phrase "Black is Beautiful." However some of the most hurtful things I've heard came from the within the black community. Things like "Why do you talk white?" (I still don't know what that one means) It seems like some African Americans have a "crabs in a barrel" mentality. Kind of like that old phrase "I wanna see you do good, just not better than me." We as a people have to do better and with that being said I found this website that i thought was awesome. This website has music, art, a blog, even a forum where you can share stories. I loved it. Give it a look!

Drake Over Kanye ? Nahhhh
http://www.complex.com/sneakers/2013/12/drake-signs-to-jordan-kanye-to-adidas-what-does-it-all-mean
The story above is about Superstar rapper Drake announcing his collaboration with the Jordan brand. Thus creating his own shoe. Now this announcement comes just days after Nike announces the ending of the Kanye partnership. Now for those who don't know Kanye created the Yeezy's, one of the most sought after shoe among sneakerheads. Here's my thoughts on this. Terrible move by Nike! Apparently all Kanye wanted was complete creative control and Nike wasn't having it. Nike was basically saying "Kanye we dont need you!" My question for Nike would be "Who wants to dress like drake?!" No one, thats the answer. Kanye has proven over time to be a style icon. As much as people don't want to admit it, they look at Kanye for whats hot in high fashion not drake. I don't think I will hear anyone say "Man I can not wait for those drakes to come out." I think that Nike should reconsider. However that may be too late since Kanye recently announced his partnership with the shoe brand Adidas.Below are pictures of Drakes shoe (left) and the Yeezys (right). My only question for Kanye would be "Do we still get those Red Octobers?"

"Baby Thug"
Something that caught my eye that I felt should be on my random thoughts page is the whole "baby thug" thing. Apparently a baby was recorded cursing up a storm. Now apparently people want to take the child away from her or something. Okay this is crazy for a number of reasons. So her brother recorded the video and posted it on line. What?! Why would you do that? I also do not like that they are naming this child the "baby thug". Really America? Why would you even feel thats okay or funny to do? Now this is not the first time that the state had to step in. Goodness.
